Land withdrawn for classification by the Department of the Interior under Section 17(d)(1) of ANCSA within the 17(d)(1) Withdrawal EIS planning area.
This data set was created for general mapping purposes and graphic display of the lands withdrawn under Section 17(d)(1) of ANCSA for the 17(d)(1) Withdrawal EIS planning effort underaken by BLM-Alaska beginning in 2022..
It is created by exporting records from the Alaska Land Information System(ALIS) and then using a model to improve geometry and add additional information (ACRES hyperlink, PLO number)
It is also clipped to the planning project boundary. Manual editing was performed, especially with the withdrawals included that impact other federal agency land discussed as part of the planning project.

This data set was created for cartographic display to represent an outline of the lands withdrawn under Section 17(d)(1) of ANCSA for the 17(d)(1) Withdrawal EIS planning effort undertaken by BLM-Alaska beginning in 2022. This dataset should not be used for any analysis purposes.
The existing evaluation area was manually edited to create an outer line that would draw a reader's eye to the areas under consideration for the EIS. Hydrographic features (lakes and rivers) and small artifacts that added internal vertices to polygons were removed. Complicated edges were merged together with manually added straight lines.
