This dataset was developed for the “One Dollar, One Tree” Holiday Savings Across Local Public Lands announcement (December 5, 2025). It displays BLM-managed lands in the Alaska Anchorage District Office that are open to firewood harvest and tree cutting. It will be available in BLM-Alaska's LMaR web map (https://arcg.is/1LiWq0) so that interested parties can zoom into areas for finer detail.

Using the implementation guidelines, GIS staff at BLM field and state offices cross-walk and clean up their data to comply with the standardized national dataset. Then, the BLM field and/or state offices submit the data to the National Operations Center (NOC), where it is compiled to produce seamless national datasets.
