Polygon features for active Bureau of Land Management (BLM) district office administrative unit boundaries. These polygons are derived from lower level administrative unit polygons captured in the administrative unit boundary dataset. The boundary of the administrative state office and its district offices (where applicable) are coincident with the outer boundaries of the field offices that fall within the administrative state (and applicable district offices).

This data is in the process of being topologically aligned with Arizona BLM Public Land Survey System (PLSS).
Foundational to the this data is the expectation that it topologically aligns where possible and appropriate with the official published version of Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Public Land Survey System (PLSS) Cadastral National Spatial Data Infrastructure (CAD NSDI) GIS Data. Topology rules: ADMU polys and arcs must not overlap.
Dataset is considered complete for the information presented.
Approximately + or - 40 feet. Test by visual comparison of hard copy check plots against source material and/ or verifying the location of the data on screen relative to other data layers in the same geographic area. Although this data is work in progress, its spatial accuracy can be found from the reliability and/or the error in X, Y coordinates contained in the PLSS Points feature class. This represents the best estimate of spatial accuracy on a point-by-point basis.

Two letter, upper case abbreviation for the administrative state office. The current list of values is: AK, AZ, CA, CO, ES, ID, MT, NM, NV, OR, UT and WY. In the FBMS Organization Codes, use the second 2 characters (after the LL). (e.g. LLAK039000). Attribute Domain Assignment: DOM_ADMIN_ST (Logical Attribute: State Alphabetic Code. An alphabetic abbreviation that represents each of the 50 states of the United States, the District of Columbia, the outlying areas of the United States, and associated areas. FIPS PUB 5-2.) An administrative unit that identifies the state or geographic area which has administrative jurisdiction over lands, and cases. The land for a case may not be physically located in the associated administrative state. Only those states that are BLM administrative states are in the domain for this entity. Example: Montana is the Administrative State for public lands in the geographic States of Montana, South and North Dakota.

Test by visual comparison of hard copy check plots against source material and/ or verifying the location of the data on screen relative to other data layers in the same geographic area. Although this data is work in progress, its spatial accuracy can be found from the reliability and/or the error in X, Y coordinates contained in the PLSS Points feature class. This represents the best estimate of spatial accuracy on a point-by-point basis.
This data is in the process of being topologically aligned with Arizona's Public Land Survey System (PLSS). Attribute accuracy was tested by validating attribute coded values against accepted domain values, checking that alpha-numeric values followed a valid format, and checking that numeric values were greater than zero.
Foundational to the this data is the expectation that it topologically aligns where possible and appropriate with the official published version of Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Public Land Survey System (PLSS) Cadastral National Spatial Data Infrastructure (CAD NSDI) GIS Data. Topology rules: ADMU polys and arcs must not overlap.
Dataset is considered complete for the information presented.
