This data set consists of digital data describing BLM's District Area Boundaries. These data were derived from BLM Field Office data captured at 1:24,000. Data was then mapjoined into a resulting statewide map layer. Because of differences between data capture techniques between BLM Offices the data editor droped some boundaries from various Field Office Areas to avoid sliver problems. Data was snapped to 2010 GCDB where boundaries are the same.

An administrative unit that identifies the state or geographic area which has administrative jurisdiction over lands, and cases.
