The feature class includes attributes to store feature level metadata information. Several attributes document the origin and characteristics of the points. The Bureau of Land Management uses a multiple tier organization to manage the land. With some exceptions, the land that the BLM manages is served by field offices. For offline data, fees are determined as actual cost of providing the requested information, based on current BLM Cost Recovery fee schedule. Fee may include cost of media, computer operator search time, and an administrative fee. 2017-05-24T00:00:00 dataset Each office in this feature class should be represented by a point, regardless of whether the office is co-located with others at the same location. One physical location may administer more than one administrative unit, and have multiple offices co-located in that location. Points are not coincident. All Idaho State, District and Field Offices and are accounted for. These points represent those offices at the field office level and above. Other types of offices such as duty stations and temp stations are not included in this implementation. Attributes were populated according to the appropriate land use planning decision. Field Office staff filled in the attributes and a final QC step occurred at the ISO before publishing. This data was gathered using the NRCS 2009 NAIP imagery. The office buildings are correctly identified and any error in their location would be attributed to the NAIP imagery. Existing data was compared to the 2009 NAIP imagery and moved to make the data correct. The points were placed on the roof of the building and close to the entrance. Where multiple points exist, this identifes the co-location of offices. The FGDC component of the metadata was then removed from the ArcGIS metadata. These programmatic processes may fail or inconsistently migrate the metadata or fail to maintain the chronological order of the original FGDC metadata entries. Efforts were made to review the upgraded ArcGIS metadata; however the metadata user needs to carefully and completely read the entire metadata document and when appropriate notify the BLM distributor of any metadata inconsistencies. Attachment 1 of this IM entitled, “BLM Administrative Units (boundaries) Data Standard Report (25 pp)” is intended to be a logical, vendor neutral, description of the data standard. Attachment 2, “BLM Administrative Units (boundaries) Implementation Guidelines (36 pp)” describes implementation of these standards using the GIS vendor’s software. The three-page document entitled, “BLM Administrative Units (boundaries) Domains” (Attachment 3) lists the domain or “valid values” for different attributes contained within the data standard. The Data Model Diagram in Attachment 4 shows the Entity Relationship Diagram of the data standard information in yellow and the related data elements in green.
