LUPA v3.0 assembles all LUP statuses into a single polygon feature class (lupa_poly), which results in overlapping geometries that make effective depiction unfeasible when using standard symbology processes. The workaround for this unconventional configuration is to create a copy of lup_poly for each unique planning status (e.g., 3 copies if the dataset contains LUPs in Existing, Historic, and In-Progress statuses). Subsequently, a definition query is implemented into each copy to isolate each respective status.</stepDesc>
