Service Description: Greater Sage-Grouse (Centrocercus urophasianus) Winter Habitat as mapped by the Idaho Department of Fish and Game (IDFG) for the Idaho and Southwestern Montana Greater Sage-Grouse Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS). Data is limited to Idaho. Winter was defined as December 1 - February 28. This layer includes IDFG Nesting habitat that overlaps winter habitat. See processing steps for how IDFG developed spatial data for GRSG winter habitat. In Montana (Dillon Field Office) winter habitat use by Greater Sage-Grouse (GRSG) is highly variable due to snow pack and can change year to year. Spatial data depicting GRSG winter for the Dillon Field Office is not available. It is primarily encompasses within the Priority Habitat Management Areas.
