Service Description: The BLM OR Oregon National Historic Trail represents the portion of the historic east to west wagon route located in within Oregon. The BLM OR Oregon National Historic Trail is part of the congressionally designated National Trail System; these trails recognize broad facets of history such as prominent past routes of exploration, migration, trade, communication, and military action. Historic trails generally consist of remnant sites and trail sections, and thus are not necessarily continuous. Line work for the BLM OR Oregon National Historic Trail is derived from various sources at various scales. For further information about the data, consult the OR/WA BLM Ground Transportation (GTRN) Web Publication Data Dictionary at: https://www.blm.gov/about/data/oregon-data-management (located under Data Standards).
