originator mapDigital This polyline feature class represents the segments designated as BLM National Conservation Lands (NCL) Wild and Scenic Rivers in Utah. The attributes for this feature class serve to store the feature level metadata information for the polylines, as well as document the origin and characteristics of each polyline. Lines will be segmented when any of the attributes change (e.g. when the classification changes) or to capture changes in Outstandingly Remarkable Value (ORV). Every segment must have at least one record in the related table, nlcs_wsr_orv_tbl. WSRs edited pursuant to: S. 47: John D. Dingell, Jr. Conservation, Management, and Recreation Act Public Law 116-9, March 12, 2019 Data within these services are a live copy of BLM Utah's enterprise production environment. Quality control is conducted annually. This polyline feature class represents the segments designated as BLM National Conservation Lands (NCL) Wild and Scenic Rivers. The feature class is related to the nlcs_wsr_orv_tbl (table) through the nlcs_wsr_orv_rel (relationship class). The Wild and Scenic River feature class includes selected rivers in the United States preserved for possessing outstandingly, remarkable scenic, recreational, geologic, fish and wildlife, historic, cultural, or other similar values. Rivers, or sections of rivers, so designated are preserved in their free-flowing condition and are not dammed or otherwise improved. Attribute accuracy was tested by validating attribute coded values against accepted domain values, checking that alpha-numeric values followed a valid format, and checking that numeric values were greater than zero. The logical consistency of this dataset reflects that of the source datasets. Each source dataset is run through a series of tests to verify that the data complies with the format specified in the Data Standard. ERRORS AND INCONSISTENCIES MAY STILL BE PRESENT IN THE DATA. These tests were conducted using ESRI ArcMap 10.1. The tests consisted of checking coded values for attributes against a domain of accepted values, checking that alpha-numeric values followed a valid format, and checking that numeric values were greater than zero. For the geometry, the topology was validated; however overlaps and gaps can still be found. The completeness of this dataset reflects that of the source datasets. The positional accuracy across this dataset varies according to the source. Using the implementation guidelines, GIS staff at BLM field and state offices cross-walk and clean up their data to comply with the standardized national dataset. Then, the BLM field and/or state offices submit the data to the National Operations Center (NOC), where it is compiled to produce seamless national datasets.
