Description: The John D. Dingell, Jr. Conservation, Management, and Recreation Act of 2019 (the Act) calls for a study of land ownership and use patterns in the Chugach Region of Alaska. Pursuant to the Act, the BLM, National Park Service (NPS), and the Forest Service identified lands as available for exchange with the Chugach Alaska Corporation (CAC). The process of identification began by consulting with the CAC and receiving a list of lands in which the CAC expressed its interest for cultural and economic reasons. After review, the Federal agencies responded with the parcels in this dataset to identify Federal lands potentially available for a possible exchange with the CAC.
