This dataset represents the spatial extent and boundary for the Tabeguache Area. The Colorado Wilderness Act of 1993 directs BLM to manage the Tabeguache Area so as to maintain the area's presently existing wilderness character. Subject to any valid existing rights held upon identification, the Tabeguache Area is withdrawn from all forms of location, leasing, patent, disposition, or disposal under public land, mining, and mineral and geothermal leasing laws of the United States. BLM shall manage this area for potential future inclusion in the National Wilderness Preservation System
