description: The purpose of this polygon feature class is to show BLM Colorado Grazing Allotments, which are areas of land designated and managed for grazing of livestock. It may include private, state, and public lands under the jurisdiction of the Bureau of Land Management and/or other federal agencies. An allotment is derived from its pastures, where the grazing of livestock is occurring. A separate layer shows only those allotments that as of 7/31/2019 did not have a matching record in RAS. Verification of vacancy needs to be made with the respective BLM Colorado Field Office.
