Service Description: The purpose of this Service is to show BLM Grazing Allotments, which are areas of land designated and managed for livestock grazing. In addition to public lands under the jurisdiction of the Bureau of Land Management, allotments may include private lands, State lands, and lands under the jurisdiction of other federal agencies. This geospatial dataset is supplemental to the Rangeland Administration System (RAS), which is authoritative for BLM grazing allotments (except Alaska). Rangeland Administration System Reports can be accessed from the BLM public reporting application website at reports.blm.gov.

Description: This polygon feature class represents the spatial extent and boundaries for BLM Grazing Pastures. A grazing pasture is simply a subset of a grazing allotment, where the grazing of livestock occurs. An allotment can have one or many pastures, or an allotment can have no pastures at all. This national dataset is an aggregation from multiple datasets provided by the BLM Administrative States. Errors and inconsistencies may still be present in the data.
