Service Description:

The BLM OR Recreation Site Map Service represents recreation features under BLM management within Oregon and Washington. The recsite data such as trailheads, dispersed campsites, and interpretive signs are displayed as points and the physical extent of the managed area is displayed as polygons in this dataset. Users should be aware that recsite point and polygon data are not stand alone datasets and must be viewed together to gain an accurate and complete understanding of the recreation sites on the ground. For a complete description of the data, consult the Recreation Sites Spatial Data Standard at https://www.blm.gov/about/data/oregon-data-management.

The BLM OR Recreation Site Map Service is created from recreation_site_web.gdb\recsite_point, recsite_poly and recsite_pub_poly_point. This map service has scale dependencies. The Minor/Undeveloped Recreation Points layer displays at a scale in beyond 1:100,001. The Major/Developed Recreation Points layer displays at a scale in beyond 1:250,001. The Minor/Undeveloped Recreation Area layer displays at a scale in beyond 1:750,001. The Major/Developed Recreation Area layer displays at a scale in beyond 1:8,000,001.
