Service Description: The BLM OR Monitoring and Sample Point Map Service represents monitoring and sample point locations within Oregon and Washington. Monitoring is a generic term describing various kinds of assessments that the BLM makes on public land natural resources and/or management actions undertaken. The SAMPLE_PT dataset represents places where a measurement of some type has occurred. Examples of measurement types are: vegetation transects or plots, soil pit descriptions, and observations/photos of resource use or impact. For a complete description of the data, consult the Sample Points Spatial Data Standard at: https://www.blm.gov/about/data/oregon-data-management.
The BLM OR Monitoring and Sample Point Map Service is created from samplepoints_web.gdb\SAMPLE_PT. This map service does not have scale dependencies.
