Service Description: <div style='text-align:Left;font-size:12pt'><p><span>The BLM OR Public Land Survey System (PLSS) Map Service represents township, range, section, special surveys and Federal Land ownership within Oregon and Washington. The PLSS is the basis for Federal land ownership. This map service is optimized for data publication and sharing rather than for specific "production" or operation and maintenance. This map service includes the following layers: PLSS Point (essential observed coordinate information for PLSS corners with the most current coordinates and summary information about the accuracy and quality of the coordinate values), Townships and Range, Special Survey (non-rectangular components of the PLSS), First Division and Second Division (the hierarchical break down of the PLSS Rectangular surveys - some areas have subdivisions down to the quarter-quarter section (40 acres)), MeanderedWater, PLSSIntersected (all of the PLSS feature at the atomic or smallest polygon level), and MetadataGlance.
