The Surface Management Agency (SMA) Geographic Information System (GIS) generally defines when the land is either: Withdrawn by some administrative or legislative action, acquired, or exchanged among government agencies. The Utah Trust Lands Administration (SITLA) is responsible for maintaining land status for Utah, and depicts this at a scale of 1:24,000. This information is published monthly by the BLM to reflect changes in trust lands, other state land, and private Land. While this dataset illustrates various government agency surface management areas and quantifies geographic acreage, these are computed by mathematical formulas. They are not derived from legal documents or associated with title documents or survey records.
